Christmas is truly one of the most wonderful times of the year. We get to enjoy the magic of the season, spend quality time with our family and friends, and spread Christmas cheer to all of our loved ones with gifts and celebrations.

But after decorating the house, baking cookies and wrapping gifts, who wants to think about cooking two Christmas meals?! The planning and grocery shopping for Christmas dinner can be plenty time consuming on its own. Take a break, and make life a little easier on yourself by going out to dinner this Christmas Eve.

You may be asking yourself – Where are my family and I going to get a really good meal on a holiday? You may be surprised to find out that some of Charlotte’s finest restaurants are open for dinner on Christmas Eve, so you have plenty of options when it comes to dining out.


Is Italian food one of your family’s favorite cuisines? Get your fill of spaghetti, bread and red wine at one of the several local Italian restaurants that are featuring dinner options on Christmas Eve. Vivace will be featuring its annual “Feast of the Seven Fishes” menu in addition to its traditional offerings. Other options to plan your Christmas Eve evening include BRAVO Cucina Italiana, BRIO Tuscan Grille, Buca di Beppo, Luciano’s, Maggiano’s, Stagioni, Toscana Ristorante Italiano and Trattoria Antica. Take your pick, and relax the night before Christmas with a big bowl of pasta!


Are you more in the mood for a hearty steak dinner this Christmas Eve? Check out BLT Steak Charlotte, Evoke or Morton’s for a fabulous and filling dining experience. Or what about French cuisine? Georges Brasserie in SouthPark will be open to treat you and your loved ones to a carefree evening. You could even switch things up entirely and head out for sushi at Enso Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar. I bet you won’t be eating that again on Christmas Day!

If you are visiting from out-of-town or simply don’t want to cook on Christmas Day, the Gallery Restaurant at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge has you covered. The Gallery Restaurant will be hosting a Christmas Brunch from 12pm-4pm. Holiday entertaining doesn’t get any easier or more fabulous than this!

    Family of four will be travelling to Charlotte for one day only to Charlotte and we’d love to experience the best Christmas Eve dinner!
