Starbucks to Use Charging Stations to Lure Customers

Starbucks Wireless 4

Starbucks is planning on putting wireless charging stations in all of its locations by the end of 2016.  The idea is to install over 100,000, an average of 13 per store,  Duracell Powermat wireless charging stations over the next couple of years.  The charging stations look like coasters and use magnetic induction to charge devices.  No more plugs and wires, simply put your phone on the coaster and watch it go.  The charging stations replenish the battery just as quickly as standard chargers.  Starbucks started offering free Wi-Fi back in 2010 as a way of getting customers in their stores.  They now add another perk to keep us coming back.
