Taco Bell to Introduce Breakfast Biscuit Tacos

Taco Bell is still trying to increase their breakfast offerings.  It’s got a wacky breakfast sandwich — a Biscuit Taco that tastes like a breakfast biscuit but is shaped like a taco — rolling out nationally March 26, with an off-kilter, in-your-face ad campaign to boot.  But ultimately, Taco Bell hopes to turn breakfast into an occasion that accounts for up to 20% of its business, according to separate phone interviews with Taco Bell’s new CEO, Brian Niccol, and its marketing chief, Chris Brandt. For Taco Bell, breakfast matters. While it currently accounts for just 6% of the chain’s sales, Niccol, who has been in the CEO slot for about three months, believes that Taco Bell can someday more than triple that figure.
