Andrew Blair’s to Reinvent Itself?

Andy Henson who is the owner of Andrew Blair's and Angry Ale's located right next door has shut down the Montford Drive restaurant for day to day operations.?? It is still open for special events and also on the weekends where it turns into more of a nightclub.?? What are his plans????? We have heard he is tossing around converting it to a Southwestern style restaurant which is missing from MOFO.?? BBQ is also missing but that is for another story.
Let's hear it from you the readers, what is missing from the Montford Entertainment District or MOFO?

Actually Dave, your post is wrong. As we said in our press release, Andrew Blair’s is not closed for day to day operations.
We have suspended dinner service for the time being while we renovate the dining room. We are still available and open to do special events any day of the week and still have a full kitchen.
If anyone would like to hear the real story of the renovations or our plans, please email info@andrewblairs.com and we will happily speak with you regarding private events or AB’s Latenight every Friday and Saturday night.
If you send us your press release we will be happy to post it for our readers. I am sure they will be interested in your future plans. A friend of mine worked there and she told me they did not tell anyone on the staff they were closing. They came in one night and the doors were locked.
The food at Andrew Blair’s is average at best so it is good that they are starting over.
Really Andy? We all went into work on May 24th, and were told we no longer had jobs. You are saying that you are open for day to day operations, why did you not let any of your loyal staff know that? Because you are not being truthful? You are closed, special events do not count. Your future staff should never trust you. My friends and I will still go to Montford just not to any of your bars.
Who cares? Just go next door and get a job!
I was wondering when the doors would be closed. Could not happen to a nicer group of people. Let us see… 4 chefs in 3 years, horrible reviews and when I was there I’m pretty sure it was the owner who was very rude to my girlfriend telling her that she should not be on the dance floor because she was pregnant. My girlfriend is not pregnant just a little heavy. We and our friends have not been back since.
This is a prime example of what happens to people that have money but have no clue on how to run a fine dining establishment. So many people think they can run fine dining establishment because they think they know what they are doing. Does this “Restaurant Group” really have any experience running a nice restaurant? Just because you run a busy frat bar does not mean you can open up a fine dining restaurant and do well. An operation like the one Andy Henson opened up takes experience and knowledge not just an I can do anything attitude. What you end up getting is a horrible dining experience with bad food, poor service, and an improper approach to an unsolicited guest first approach to service. Do you self a favor and hire some professionals!
I think Andrew Blair’s would be a perfect location for a gay bar! There is not any close by, they already have a great dance floor and they are known for beautiful people getting their drank on! My buddies and co-workers would love a homosexual friendly place to hang. It would give a whole new meaning to the term MOFO!Please Andy Please hear our wishes! You could keep the name of the restaurant because it would fit well for a male friendly Gay bar. Thank you so much for letting our voice be heard!

I was at Roasting Co Friday night & looked across the street at AB’s. It looked closed to me although there were a couple of cars in the lot. Of course, those may have belonged to Angry Ale’s patrons. Anyway, I remembered seeing this article & came back to see if there was anymore info. Anyone know what the deal is at AB’s?
