The Got to Be NC Competition Dining Series is Back

Everything that prickles our senses about watching reality television food competition shows on the Food Network and Bravo is only intensified by being able to actually participate, taste and judge one of these competitions yourself. That opportunity can be yours once again this year as Got to Be NC Competition Dining Series returns to the Tar Heel State to let master chefs duke it out in the kitchen, secret ingredients and all.

The culinary throw downs are scheduled all over the state, but if you want to catch one in Crown Town, combating chefs will be competing at Bonterra Dining & Wine Room from March 22 to May 19. Buy tickets quickly, because these events have historically been sell-outs.

Competing Charlotte restaurants include littleSpoon, Dogwood Souther Table & Bar, The Flipside Cafe, Mimosa Grill, The Mandrake, BLT Steak, Southminster, Bank of America Stadium, Heritage, Cantina 1511, Cafe Monte, Block & Grinder, The Cypress, Vivace, Heirloom, Mama Ricotta’s, The Summit Room, Gallery Restaurant and The Asbury.

The competition exists to promote North Carolina’s agribusiness as well as the local dining scenes in the Triad, the Triangle and the City. The chefs will be competing for a cash prize, a new red chef’s jacket, an Ironman Forge knife, bragging rights and a chance to represent North Carolina in the Battle of Champions at the end of the year.
