Fourth Ward Bread Co. Fire Shuts Down Business

Fourth Ward Bread Co. Fire Shuts Down Business

4th Ward 3

The popular Fourth Ward Bread Co. had a serious fire this past Friday night.  So serious that it took 70 firefighters to put it out.  Fourth Ward had just celebrated their 1st year anniversary and had become a popular location for Uptown residents.  Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused the blaze.  The Fourth Ward operators are trying to temporarily locate a commercial kitchen so they can get their people back to work.  By the looks of the damage it does not seem they will be operating out of the original location for awhile.  We want our Kronuts back.  The picture below is in a happier time.

  1. Oh No. How does a building burn down? I thought 4th Ward was a 24 hour a day business?

    • 24 hours? Heck, they weren’t even open on Mondays! By Sunday the observer had reported that it was probably faulty equipment that caused the fire.

  2. I hope they open up again soon. Drove by there today and it looked like a major fire.
