7 Restaurants With Stunning Views this 4th of July
Independence Day is just around the corner, which means itâ€™s time to start making plans for a celebratory day filled of the fresh outdoors, cold, refreshing drinks and most importantly, excessive amounts of fireworks. For anyone staying in Charlotte this 4th of July, the cityâ€™s annual Skyshow is back and being held inside of BB&T Ballpark, right next door to Bank of America stadium. The impressive show will begin after the Charlotte Knights game Monday evening (the game begins at 6:05 pm).
While the best view of the show will be inside the actual stadium, as well as Romare Bearden Park, there are still plenty of alternative options located throughout the city where you can catch a glimpse of the show. Below are 7 spots where you can enjoy a nice dinner, grab a few drinks and watch the sparks fly this Independence Day.

Charlotte’s newest go-to spot for breathtaking views of the city and inventive, tasty cocktails. City lights is the newest and largest rooftop bar in the city. They offer a spectacular 360 degree view of the skyline, perfect for viewing Charlotte’s 2016 Skyshow. Located at 555 S. McDowell Street.
Fahrenheit offers a gorgeous rooftop dining area with an incredible view of the city, new American cuisine and a full-service bar. Here you can enjoy a nice, sit-down dinner, followed by drinks to sip on while relaxing and watching the show. Located at 222 S Caldwell St.
Peculiar Rabbit is known for its farm-to-fork, inventive cuisine, delicious cocktails and extensive craft beer menu. They offer an incredible rooftop dining area with one of the best skyline views in Charlotte. For those not wanting dinner, they also offer a full-service bar on the second floor with a gorgeous view of the skyline as well. Located at 1212 Pecan Ave.
Vivace offers incredible contemporary Italian cuisine and a nice, relaxing outdoor patio area. Located in the Metropolitan, Vivace is a great spot to enjoy a sunset over the skyline, followed by fireworks. Located at 1100 Metropolitan Ave.
Known for its more laid-back atmosphere, Whiskey Warehouse provides a delicious bar menu filled with wings, burgers, fries etc. The establishment is two stories, with the top being an incredible rooftop bar offering stunning views of Uptown Charlotte. Located at 1221 The Plaza.
Located within walking distance to Bank of America Stadium and BB&T Ballpark, Draught is an ideal location if you want to grab some casual food and drinks, while still feeling like you’re part of the action. Their patio area offers a close-range view of the fireworks directly over BB&T Ballpark. Located at 601 S Cedar St.
At first glance, the skyline view of Uptown may appear hidden by tall, towering apartment complexes, but Gin Millâ€™s rooftop bar provides a great view towards Charlotteâ€™s Third Ward (and BB&T Ballpark). This South End dive bar offers daily drink specials, TVs and games for entertainment and a laid-back atmosphere for enjoying a night out with friends. Located at 1411 S Tryon St.
