Beer Cans are the New Black

Beer Cans are the New Black

Selling craft beer in bottles is so yesterday.  The new trend for all the cool kids is craft beer in a can.  NoDa Brewing Company is about to become the first Charlotte brewery to go canning when they introduce their 16 oz cans of Hop, Drop ‘N Roll and Jam Session to the market in October.  The new cans will roll out in local bottle shops first and be in Harris Teeter and Publix within a year.  Noda hopes to have the cans at Bank of America Stadium when the Panthers play their next home game against the St. Louis Rams October 20th.  NoDa Head Brewer Chad Henderson says, “Cans basically act as small kegs with many of the same benefits including complete light protection, which minimizes the risk of ‘skunking’ the beer.”   We found this clip about cans from the movie The Jerk featuring Steve Martin and some guy who really hates cans.

I am shuddering at the notion of Hop,Drop, & Roll in cans. That stuff is delicious and will hit you like a beer bong conveniently packed in the palm of your hand.
