BurgerFi Needed in Charlotte

When New South's Kenny Smith speaks you have to take what he says with a grain of salt.  His blind loyalty to the Tar Heels and his envy of the SEC schools is understandable.  He was against the Panthers picking Cam Newton so that tells you much about his football IQ.  So when he told everyone that would listen that BurgerFi was the best burger he had ever tasted well that could be just Kenny being Kenny.  So when I was in Winter Park, Florida this past Tuesday I saw a BurgerFi and had to give it a try.

Well you don't hear this much but Kenny was right.  BurgerFi was all that he made it up to be.  From the hip interior to the cool music it is a different cat than all the burger joints in Charlotte.  The food was also at a higher quality level.  Trust us, all the other burger restaurants in town will not be happy to see them in their trade area.

The large order of fries could feed 3 people.

The onion rings were huge.

You order at the counter and they bring it to you.

BurgerFi is opening 2 stores in the Raleigh area and they want to open some in Charlotte.  BurgerFi only uses all natural Angus beef in their burgers which gives them flavor that you would get in a fine steak.  They are never frozen and are cooked to order.  They also serve specialty items like Kobe beef hot dogs, gourmet toppings and craft beer and wine.  We will let you know first when and where they are going in Charlotte.

Those rings look good! The interior of Burgerfi reminds me a bit of the Shake Shack on 8th Ave in NYC that has indoor seating.

American Roadside is awful. How in the world have they opened 2 of them. I hope this group comes here if they are as good as David says they are.

I am the CEO of American Roadside. Sorry to hear that you think we’re “awful”. Would like to buy you lunch/dinner at our new SouthPark store and hopefully change your opinion of our restaurants.

BurgerFi is an excellent concept and have done well in Florida.

Bad Daddy’s serves a pretty good burger. Was not impressed with Smashburger.

What about Smashburger? They serve a delicious burger over in Stonecrest.
