Cafe Really Shuts the Doors in Ballantyne

In what has become a bad couple of weeks for the owners of The Village at Robinson Farm, Cafe Really has closed for business.  We reported that Domenico's shut down last week leaving Cosmos Cafe as the last man standing for restaurants in the center.  Both restaurants will be filled with new concepts over the coming months but it is tough to figure out why restaurants keep failing at the Robinson Farm location.

Parking is the issue in this center, there is none.

Just bad concepts and bad food. A chain like chipotle. showmars, or an irish pub would go well here.

I think the Cafe Really space has been 3-4 restaurants already. I like your Irish Bar idea. Who does not like an Irish Bar?

Cafe Really was a HORRIBLE place. We went there once for breakfast. The manager ended up arguing with us over a coupon we had.
After that, we never went back and, of course, told everyone about how bad it was.
Domenico’s I always thought was too expensive for nothing special.
    Parking is horrible there.
I like the idea of Irish Bar there. I would love to see an Eddie’s place return – Good breakfast and nice quiet bar.

Yes, cafe really was horrible. Good concept and nice menu. Was so looking forward to having it so close. But the staff were horribly rude, including that manager that argued a coupon with me too. That did it for me. Plus, the food was not prepared properly. Enough said. I am really looking forward to trying the new breakfast place that is gong in there though.

I hope some place good replaces Domenicos.

It is not too hard to figure out the failures. Cafe really would have prospered through word of mouth if they were any good. But Domenicos, who knew it was there? They really need to advertise, provide good value and good service. That is all. Become a neighborhood place and they will do well.

I hear the restaurant TOAST will be moving in to Robinson Farm. We ate at Toast in Davidson, and really enjoyed the menu, the atmosphere, the food, and the staff. I he it makes it!!
