Charles Barkley also turns 50 this week joining Micheal Jordan in hitting the half century milestone.  I went to Auburn as did Sir Charles and actually played a game of pick up basketball with him.  I did not take any charges that day fearing for my safety.  The stories about how generous and nice Barkley is abound.  A fraternity brother of mine was attending a wedding in Toronto and was at a club when he spotted Barkley (OK it was a strip club) and he went over to say hi and tell him that he also went to Auburn.  Well Charles invited their whole group to sit with him and paid for everything himself.  True story.  Happy 50th to the future Governor of Alabama.
