Cheers To The Broken Spoke

Cheers To The Broken Spoke

In a city dominated by craft beer, The Broken Spoke stands out as a fresh alternative to the brewery scene. This new hot spot specializes in hand crafted cocktails made with liquors from around the world and the corner.  The Broken Spoke is the sister bar to next door’s, Great Wagon Road, Mecklenburg County’s oldest operating distillery. Here they produce whiskey, vodka and soon, fruit brandy. For non-liquor drinkers, they have twelve beers on draft and also serve wine.  In addition, they offer delicious bar bites so you can nibble while you sip.  Their menu changes daily, but it will typically consist of toasted sandwiches, bread bowls and charcuterie.

Walking into The Broken Spoke, I instantly felt relaxed thanks to the friendly atmosphere and dim lighting. The venue has two floors, each with their own bar. The downstairs has an assortment of tables and the upstairs offers large leather couches and chairs as seating options.  This place strikes me as both the perfect spot to catch up with an old friend and also a romantic date option.

The Broken Spoke is a “private club” & membership costs $1.  Click on the following link to join! http://register.clubtabs.com/club/BrokenSpoke
