Charlotte has not been very welcoming to the whole food truck revolution that is prevalent in many other similar sized cities. Maybe that is because of the protests of the traditional brick and mortar restaurants around town. The food trucks do have a very big advantage on fixed costs although to make these trucks legal to serve food to the public it is expensive. Chow Down Uptown will take place this Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the 7th Street Public Market. There will be 14 different food trucks serving everything from Asian food to good old fashioned BBQ. The event is free.
