City Tavern Close to Opening in Southpark

City Tavern is close to opening in the former San Antonio's/Morton's space behind the Southpark Mall. Restaurant Traffic has been told that they are hoping to open sometime during the first week of April. We were surprised when we heard they were opening in Southpark. City Tavern has been closing stores not opening them. We will find the exact opening date and get it out to you.

Tough location. Back end of the mall.
There is a reason 2 restaurants have failed there already.
I actually like City Tavern in Stonecrest. The food is always good and the staff is friendly and has a good attitude. Give it a chance people.
Let them open up before you start trying to tear them down. They will either make it or not on the quality of their food and how well they treat the customers.

I always thought the food was pretty good at City Tavern. I loved their spot over on East Blvd. Anybody hear what is going into that site on East Blvd?
LOVE ALL the City Taverns as they have good coupons! The City Tavern @ SouthPark will make it in this location. Can’t wait until it opens @ SouthPark in April!
TJ just sounds like a ticked off employee! City Tavern has closed it’s other locations by CHOICE..they did not fail, nor will this one! City Tavern will bring great food and great ambiance to Southpark. This is just what Southpark needs. Best of luck to City Tavern! I am excited to go there…i hear it opened last night, so this is where I ill be this weekend.

Congratulations on the opening at South Park!! I enjoy going to Rivergate and Stonecrest, and will definitely make visiting here part of my weekend plans this weekend!! Much success is wished for you here in your new location!!
Give them a chance people. The Southpark area is as good as it gets and if they can deliver good food they will do fine.
We work across the street at Coca Cola and have had take out from City Tavern. The food was fabulous and staff beyond compare. Try it for yourself
