Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Coming to Ballantyne

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is coming to Ballantyne.  Dickey’s is known for their Barbecue Meats and sides such as Fried Okra, Jalapeno Beans and Baked Potato Casserole.  Dickey’s was started back in 1941 in Dallas Texas and started franchising in 1994.  Dickey’s has 280 locations in 43 states and has the designation of being the worlds largest barbecue franchise.  Kids eat free every Sunday.  Dickey’s is opening in the Harris Teeter anchored Ballantyne Commons.

  1. Ah Ha! Another chain invasion? Is there any chance Charlotte could every hope for something at least close to a Longman & Eagle like eatery? Something? Maybe a Hot Dougs with real sausages as opposed to a JJ’s? Common Charlotte, do I have to get on a plane and leave every time I want a kick ass meal??? There are glimmers here like Johnny Burrito, Halcyon, Lebowski’s,Kabob Grill, etc. but we need more!

  2. Take it from someone from Dallas: Ugh. Not a good representation of Texas BBQ. Free soft serve, though.
