Eat to Defeat: Charlotte Food Fight Returns to QC this Weekend

The Charlotte Food Fight returns to Queen City for its second year this Saturday, April 12th, with all proceeds to benefit Charlotte’s Relay for Life to help fight cancer.

The “fight” will pit 13 local food trucks against one another for the chance to be crowned “best dish” in three different competitions:  Chef’s Choice, Mystery Ingredient and People’s Choice.  A $40 ticket gets you your choice of meal per food truck as well as one “People’s Choice” vote.  All net proceeds will benefit Relay for Life of Charlotte.

Charlotte Food Fight is the brainchild of veteran Relay for Life fundraisers, Kelly DeMario and her husband John, who organized the first Charlotte Food Fight last year.  This year features 4 more trucks, up from the 9 that participated last year.  There will also be live music from local artists.

The event runs from 3 – 7pm at the food truck lot across from Phatt Burrito in Southend and tickets can be purchased HERE.

Beverages such as water, soda and beer will be available for cash purchase but participants are also welcome to bring their own.
