You just knew Ballantyne was not going to be left out of the frozen yogurt craze that has engulfed Charlotte.  Recently two new fro yo stores have set up shop in the South Charlotte area.  TCBY opened in Ballantyne Village.  This is the 9th TCBY that owner Samuel Bratt has opened in Charlotte.  Ballantyne Village was recently taken over by a new ownership group that has promised to pump life into the center.  Not to be outdone Ballantyne Corners has just announced that Cafe Yofflers has opened in their center.  Cafe Yofflers serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as self serve frozen yogurt.  They also feature 18 flavors of gelato and 10 types of cheesecakes.

I think we have enough yogurt guys. Who keeps opening more of these yogurt stores? I guess they must make money but I can’t figure out how well they do in the winter.

Didn’t a frozen yogurt shop already go out of business over at Robinson Farm?

This yogurt is a fad and most of them will not make it.
