Restaurant Traffic decided to check out Duckworth's on Montford for their Wednesday kid's night where kids eat free (They also have kids night on Mondays). I know we seem to be focusing on Montford Drive lately, but we really like what the street is becoming.Where else can you park your car and go to 9 different bars in a safe environment?
We started with the grand daddy of all appetizers, the loaded nachos with fajita chicken. This is a huge dish and probably should not be ordered unless you have more than 2 people in your party. Don't worry dads, Duckworth's has a $2.50 pint beer special featuring The Great Lakes Brewing Company so they did not forget about us. They also have $2.50 pints on Tuesdays-Thursdays where you can get anything they serve for that low price.
Kid's cheeseburger with fries. They make the fries here themselves which is a great touch.
Kid's quesadillas which is always popular with the younger set.
This giant pizza was only $7.99. We had all this food plus 5 pints of Great Lakes and 2 glasses of wine and our tab came to only $49 dollars. If you have kids and are looking for an affordable night give Duckworth's a try.
My problem with Duckworth’s is the food is very average. The beer is good and they have a great selection but I always eat somewhere else. I wish it was better.
I like Duckworth’s and think the food is better than average. The fries are some of the best in town. They make them in house.
