McDonald’s Going After Subway
In what is surely to become a heavyweight battle for the ages McDonald’s is going after Subway with its McWrap sandwich. McDonald’s insiders are referring to the McWrap as a “Subway buster,” a product that is capable of taking market share away from the giant sandwich chain. McDonald’s views the McWrap as their biggest launch of 2013. McDonald’s is hoping the McWrap, a chicken wrap that includes romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and three sauces customers can choose from will appeal to young people and those that are more health conscious. Customers will be able to get the chicken grilled too. The McWrap will be priced at $3.99 nationally.
