Nan and Byron’s Celebrates It’s Two Year Anniversary This Thursday

To celebrate, Nan and Byron’s will have a $2 Food and Drink menu all night, this Thursday November 5th. The menu will bring back some of Chef Jamie Lynch’s favorites including the Trainwreck Fries, Peppadew Poppers, Crab Cakes, Meatloaf Sliders and Nan’s Oreos.  A select list of craft cocktails such as the Corn on the Collins and Dancing Cranberries will be included on the menu along with wine and beer.

Nan and Byron’s, is a New-American restaurant in Charlotte’s Historic South End.  It’s seasonal menu seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary cuisine while sourcing fresh, local ingredients.  In addition, the rustic eatery will entice with a vibrant bar scene highlighted by amber-lit banquettes, ample bar seating and a scene changing cocktail selection. Of the 10 handcrafted cocktails, house specialties include the “Farmhouse Lemonade” and the “Cadillac Jalapeno Margarita” cocktail.  The bar also features an extensive draft and bottled beers of both the local and import variety.

Reaching Quiet Design, the firm responsible for 5 Church, have now delivered Nan and Byron’s.  Inspired by the classic American Gothic painting by Grant Wood, they have completely renovated the historic South Boulevard landmark into a distinctively unique space.  The atmosphere is characterized by Edison light bulb fixtures, vintage furnishings, reclaimed barn wood and local artwork from notable artists, including Nathaniel Lancaster, Rodney Raines and Matt Hooker.

Patrick Whalen, Ayman Kamel, and Alejandro Torio, constitutes the forward thinking, bar raising restaurant group, 5 Church Group along with partner Executive Chef Jamie Lynch opened their second concept Nan and Byron’s in November 2013. 5 Church Group opened the wildly successful Uptown restaurant 5 Church in May 2012 with a soon to open location in Charleston this fall and another in Atlanta to open in the first quarter of 2016.
