Some good news for Park Towne Village: Al's Pizza will take part of the space formerly occupied by Tavern on the Park.  Josh Beaver, who is PTV's Director of Leasing, confirmed that Al's has a lease in place and construction should start in the near future.

Here is Josh who is with the Nichols Company.  He also said they are in discussions with a couple of other concepts for the center and hopes to announce who they are soon.

Al's Pizza, based out of Jacksonville with six locations across the Sunshine State, features hand-tossed New York-style thin crust, Sicilian-style thick crust and gourmet hand-tossed pizzas.  They also have salads, calzones and other traditional Italian dishes.  Al's offers deliveries of larger orders to help you cater a gathering of friends, colleagues or family in a pinch.  The interior is more upscale than most pizza places.

Al's also features a lunch menu where everything is $4.99 which should make for a brisk lunch business.

They have beer and wine which goes well with Italian food.  Restaurant Traffic will find out if they will have a full bar here in Charlotte since each Al's is unique.

Stay tuned to RT for updates on Al's Pizza and any other restaurant that is nearing the Grand Opening stage.

Al’s Pizza looks good. The restaurants all look a little different unlike most chains. I like that.
