Quick Post: Bad Daddy’s sells for $21 million
The Charlotte Agenda reported this week that local staple burger chain Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar was sold to Good Times Restaurants for $21 million. The sellers, FS Food Group—locally owned by Frank Scibelli, sold a 48 percent stake in 2013 to Colorado-based Good Times, but will now sell full licensing rights to the group. Scibelli’s other two brands (Paco’s Tacos and Midwood Smokehouse) will not be affected by the acquisition.
One commenter on the Agenda said, “If they change the way they do tater tots, I’m quitting.” No word on if the menu will change, but there was no indication in the official press release that the business model would change at all.
