Orlando has a lot of cutting edge restaurants and a recent trip discovered Rangetsu which is a new age Japanese restaurant on Lake Lilly.?? The neat thing about Orlando is it has a lot of lakes so you don't have to drive all the time, we took a boat.

I met my good friend Jeff Deery at the Winter Park Racquet Club.?? I have been to the WPRC 3 times now and the first 2 times Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow was there but on this visit he was in Denver preparing for the upcoming NFL season.?? The picture above is the view from the pool.

Here is Jeff waiting for our boat ride to the restaurant.?? Our boat captain Baxter Bode and his wife Sue picked us up and we were off to the restaurant.

The dining room is gorgeous with a lot of hanging wood and the lighting rivals anything you would see in New York or Vegas.???? Impact Lighting out of Orlando did all the work and as luck would have it a representative of the company was at the bar and showed me around.

The food is outstanding and their goal is to "refine and re-define the experience of Japanese dining."?? It is a see and be seen type of place, it is very female friendly.

This group was not with us if my wife asks. Rangetsu plans to expand in the near future, will they make it up to Charlotte????? Who knows??? We at Restaurant Traffic will let you know first, as usual, if they do decide to make it up to the Queen City.?? They would do well either in Uptown or at Southpark.

This was a water wall which changed colors, very sleek.
