We ran into Vin Master owner Chris Woodrow today at his Southend store. Vin Master is a retail wine store and wine bar that is somewhat hard to find unless you know where to look. It is located on the light rail line at Atherton Mill behind Zucca Pizza. You can't see it from South Blvd. Vin Master is worth searching out though. It would be great for a nice glass of wine before dinner or even a nightcap.
Chris wanted to let the public know about their Holiday Bubble Bonanza Mega Tasting going on this Thursday December 6th from 6-9 pm. There will be over 10 sparkling wines to sample as well as over 15 red and white wines. The cost is $15 per person but the fee will be waived if you purchase 6 or more bottles. Vin Master is also available for Holiday parties and would be a perfect venue for 50-75 people. We also liked this original scale, shown below, that came with the space was a great touch.
Never heard of this place but it looks neat
I like the industrial feel of this wine bar. It should do well when all those apartments are done in Southend.
This is an excellent place to learn about wine. If you walk in and say you want a Merlot. Chris will pull 5 or so different bottles and explain each of them in way more detail than anyone should know. It is a hard store to find but worth the hunt!
I am glad I read about Vin Master here. Did not know it existed but I will check it out.
I attended an event here once and thought it was a cool place. The problem is it is out of sight out of mind. The only way to see it is by going on the light rail and you pass it going 35 miles an hour. I hope they do well but unless they do a lot of marketing it will be tough.
