When in Boone, Eat Kindly

Planning a visit to Boone anytime soon? The small mountain-town recently opened a new restaurant concept with a healthy, vegan approach and a laid-back, down-to-earth vibe. Kindly Kitchen, whose name they claim stems from the old Appalachian saying, “I thank you kindly”, is Boone’s first entirely vegan food establishment.

The small restaurant strongly believes in serving fresh, honest and local foods that will support the region’s economy, as well as local farmers, and will change their menu daily to reflect new produce arrivals. They offer a build-your-own-bowl option with local veggies, greens, grains and toppings, daily soups and other daily offerings and fresh, organic smoothies.

The restaurant will mostly focus on to-go orders, with it’s quick walk-up-to-order concept and even eco-friendly, compostable containers. However, for those looking for a place to enjoy your meal, it does offer a very small, cozy seating area, shared with Neighborhood Yoga, that can seat up to sixteen people.

Kindly Kitchen is located in Downtown Boone at 659 West King Street, Suite 2, and can be found in the top floor of the Shoppes at Farmer’s Hardware. Hours of Operation: Monday – Saturday, 11:00 am – 7:30 pm.

In pursuit of the finest meals, craft beers and culinary experiences that the Queen City has to offer.
