I finally took the home crew up to Al's Pizza in Parketowne Village over the Memorial Day Weekend and was glad I did. Al's is certainly more than just a pizza joint. They have a large menu featuring many Italian items plus lunch and daily specials. Can you say Thirsty Thursdays where Yuengling pints and house wines are only a dollar? We started off with a Caprese Salad with the Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette. We would usually get the Balsamic Vinaigrette with this salad but trust us go with the menu selection for dressing. The Roasted Garlic dressing made the salad. We ordered 2 pizzas. The first was the classic Margarita Pizza which was delicious but the Barbecue Chicken Pizza was the star. Al's decor is modern for a classic pizza joint but the service was outstanding. Megan took great care of us on a night they were not that busy. Usually service suffers on slow nights since the servers are some what disinterested but Megan was on point which always enhances your dining experience. Restaurant Traffic will be back for more of a thorough review but Al's really impressed us.
I tried this place a couple of weeks ago and thought it was quite good. The interior is a bit stark. Not a warm inviting place but the food was way above average I thought. Will definitely go back. The patio is nice.
My major concern with this restaurant is that nobody has been able to make it at this location. I don’t know why? Maybe it is tough to get too?
The food here is really good. The interior does not scream out Italian food but that is OK. I wish them well.
If the food is good they will come.
The location is not tough. I think the problem is all the energy in the area is right next to them on Montford.
Go with the pizza at Al’s. Best thing on the menu. They have some good drink specials too.
