Lunch at 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails

Lunch at 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails

Just like everyone else in CLT, I have heard the hype about 204 North being Uptown’s newest restaurant to try.  Foodie lovers have raved about the dinner menu & their delicious craft cocktails (which definitely seem right up my alley). Last week Adam Williams and I decided to check out what 204 North is bringing to the Uptown lunch scene.

If you haven’t been yet, the restaurant has a relaxed, 20’s, speakeasy feel. The decor is gorgeous, and it is easy to tell how much time and effort was put into the design. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and shown to a table upstairs. Walking past the beautiful chandelier on the way up, I was excited to see what the second floor had to offer. It is just as charming as the first, and also boasts a full service bar.

Adam and I decided to order a few things and share.  First we went with their 3 taco lunch deal, which is 3 tacos and a side for $10. That price is pretty hard to beat at an Uptown sit down restaurant. Out of the three tacos we tried (chicken, pork belly and seafood) the pork belly was my favorite.  (We chose the Seasonal Vegetables as our side.)

The highlight of the meal for me definitely was the 204 Cheeseburger.  It is fairly large making it the perfect size to split. We also go a side of Pomme Frittes which were gone in about 3 seconds because they were so tasty.

Overall the food was delicious and the service was prompt and efficient.  The business professional atmosphere provided an ideal lunch break between meetings Uptown.  Comment below and tell us what your go to lunch spots are!
