Partners Chef Barry Francois, George Sheppard, Justin Moore and Marcus Thompson have teamed up to bring you Uptown's newest eatery Bluprint. The restaurant is located right behind venerable Morton's on Trade Street.
Here it is! You have to enter through the lobby and go to the back of the building to find Bluprint, hopefully they will have some signage out front to make the task easier for people who do not know Uptown.
Bluprint will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week. They will initially be closed Sunday, but partner Marcus Thompson said they have been tossing around the thought of serving a Sunday brunch. The menu boasts comfort food favorites like meatloaf, chicken pot pie and fish and chips. It also has some interesting choices like filet mignon chili, strawberry crepes and blufried cheese. There is something for everyone and prices range from $6 to $15. It will not put a big dent in your wallet.
Bluprint has 4 distinctive rooms named after the partner's hometowns. Here is the Charlotte room.
New York room which is on the second floor.
The Santa Monica room which feels like you are surrounded by the ocean. RT is going to leave off the Atlanta room because of Charlotte's rivalry with that city.
Blueprints going up the wall. The creative force behind Charlotte's newest restaurant are hoping to have a VIP party followed by a soft opening?? sometime before the end of the month if the city inspectors cooperate. Stay tuned to RT for an opening date and we will bring you pictures as part of our First Look series.

Great. Will you post an opening date? Any ideas on when that will be?
According to Bluprint’s owners they hope to open next week. They are waiting on the ABC permits. We will post the official opening date on RT when we get it confirmed.
I read somewhere they were going to open sometime next week.
Looks like an interesting spot with some creative touches. Thanks for the sneak peek!
I agree with Nicole, my only fear for them is they are a little off the beaten path and hidden. I am sure they have thought of that and will adjust their marketing accordingly. I wish them well.
