Toast Cafe Pops Up in Dilworth

Ok, that was a bad pun but my 6 year old daughter thought it was funny and we at Restaurant Traffic are kid friendly.  Toast Cafe recently opened in Dilworth and we were there on day 2.  This is the 3rd Toast location for owner Brian Burchill.  He has other stores in Huntersville and Davidson.   Toast defines comfort food.  They serve breakfast all day long which is sure to be popular.  They will also have a full bar soon but on the day we were there it was like the Sahara Desert (dry).  Bad pun #2.  On to the food.

Adam went with the Northwestern Omelet and grits.

Here was the star.  The California Salad with rasberry vinaigrette dressing.  This salad had grilled chicken, strawberries, tomatoes, oranges, walnuts and goat cheese.  Very tasty.

The waiter service is also pretty unique.  The whole staff kind of waits on you.  The servers explained to us they don't have sections but do a form of team service on all the tables.  This actually worked out better than I thought.  We never had to wait for refills.

Give Toast Cafe a try.  It will be a popular addition to the Dilworth dining scene.

  1. No Toast Cafe in Huntersville. Please communicate correct info! Toast moved away to Davidson, and was taken over by Cafe 100 in Huntersville. Cafe 100 is far better!! Food is superior, atmosphere is friendly and updated; all in all a cool place with outstanding food!
