My new favorite reason to go see a show at the NC Music Factory is VBGB. I get the opportunity to see a lot of concerts at the Fillmore and the Uptown Amphitheater and VBGB is the perfect space to meet up with friends and grab a couple craft beers before the show.

These guys have a great draft system that not only provides 30 well selected craft beers, but also delivers them at 32 degrees or less.

My favorite feature (other than the awesome vintage JFG Coffee sign) is the ice rink that runs the length of the bar. Just in case you go with the large beer, this will keep it ice cold while you slug all 32 ounces.

It is not all about the beer at VBGB. These guys will also sling a mean burger, home made chips, brats with spicy mustard. I tried all of the above and was surprised at the quality. I also tried the quinoa salad with black beans, corn, tomato, cilantro and scallions with lime vinaigrette and was quite impressed with the flavor and the simple fact that it was on the menu. All that said, the beer, location and indoor/outdoor feel is what will keep you coming back to VBGB.
