Crazy for the Flip’n Chicken

Crazy for the Flip’n Chicken

Chickens everywhere, take cover. According to the National Chicken Council, Americans are geared up and expected to eat 1.25 Billion chicken wings (or 100-million pounds) this Super Bowl.
With so much hype made and money spent on competitions like who has the best and who can eat the most, it’s no surprise that The Huffington Post reports that if the wings were laid end-to-end, they would circle the circumference of the Earth more than twice, which is about a quarter of the way to the moon. Digest that for a second. Need a Tums yet?

In an effort to get some tasty wings prior to the Super Bowl Sunday bum rush, a couple of us Restaurant Traffic food junkies hit up local hot sauce spot, Flip’n Chicken. Locally owned and operated, this is the perfect place to grab a bite of finger lick ‘in comfort food.

Being that I’d eaten here several times before and am a creature of habit, I chose something that had yet to let me down, the strip meal served with carrots, celery, a side of blue cheese dressing and 2 two garlic-buttered bread sticks so large that the Pillsbury Dough Boy was shaking in his boots. Scott opted for the messier wing-eating option smothered in a garlic parmesan sauce and also served with veggies, breadsticks and side of house-made dipping sauce. Because our moto around here is to eat what you want and worry about the calories later, we also ordered a flip’n side of their fresh cut fries which would have made the local French man proud.

Everything both of us ordered was served hot and to us in good time. It was flip’n delicious and the helpings were so large that we were not left the least bit hungry.
If you’re wanting to get in on some of the game-day deliciousness, advance ordering is appreciated as customers will heavily flock their way and get their feathers fancifully ruffled over the fact that they serve 100% Natural & Fresh, Never Frozen quality chicken that is cooked to order and served with homemade sauces and dips, prepared with natural, fresh ingredients; the perfect combination for a satisfying Super Bowl to remember, no matter the outcome of your favorite team.
