Brunching Adventures at Little Spoon Eatery
I know that I am not alone in stating that brunching is one of my favorite weekend pastimes. I finally got the chance to check out Little Spoon, located in the heart of Myers Park on Selwyn Ave., and it more than exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival I was immediately drawn in by the charming ambiance the restaurant offers. The exposed brick paired with the funky yet tasteful décor provided a unique and inviting atmosphere.  It is obvious that it was designed with a great deal of emphasis on attention to details both big and small. The restaurant is on the smaller side providing a more intimate dining experience and luckily we had no problem getting a table.
I love the vision behind Little Spoon. The menu changes daily and dishes are made using local ingredients with a farm to table dining approach.  I decided to get two things, a sweet and a savory option; the best of both worlds!  I can’t express how amazing the homemade ginger-spiced pumpkin pop tart was. It was served warm topped with cinnamon sugar icing. Too.good.for.words. When I was there this was the only pop tart option but I have heard that they switch up their flavors pretty regularly. As for my savory option, I choose the hash dish.  This was a mouth wateringly delicious combination of purple potatoes, onions, peppers, sausage and topped with an egg sunny side up.
I am eagerly awaiting my next visit and I foresee myself consuming mimosas paired with delicious food at Little Spoon again very soon. Have you had the chance to check out Little Spoon yet? If so, comment below and tell us how your experience was.
